
The dispute originated when Jacob Christian Montes (Player) completed his first professional registration with CPFC Limited T/A Crystal Palace FC (CPFC) on 28 July 2021.
Treasure Coast Tritons (TCT, formerly named North County United - NCU) submitted a claim to the FIFA Dispute Resolution Chamber (FIFA DRC) against CPFC, requesting the amount of EUR 53,506.85 plus interest as training compensation in respect of CPFC’s registration of the Player.
This claim was made based on the Player’s Electronic Player Passport (EPP) that had been issued by the US Soccer Federation (USSF): according to the EPP, the Player had been registered with North County United from 11 May 2018 to 4 August 2018 and with Treasure Coast Tritons from 27 March 2019 to 4 August 2019.
