The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) dismissed the appeal of CPFC Limited T/A Crystal Palace FC against North County United/Treasure Coast Tritons, confirming FIFA’s decision that the English club must pay EUR 53,506.85 in training compensation for the development of the player Jacob Christian Montes. The Sole Arbitrator ruled that the USSF player passport was conclusive evidence of the player’s registration history, that North County United/Treasure Coast Tritons had standing to claim training compensation and that the appeal was without merit.
