Peter Paleologos: The FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand 2023 was a compelling, incredible event. It took women’s football to another level. As the Head of Legal of the Australian Local Organising Committee, how did you deal with various key decision-making stakeholders, including FIFA, national federations, Government and the confederations?

Emily Jackson: Firstly, thank you very much for saying that. It was an incredible event. I feel very lucky to have been involved. We were blown away by the success of it as well. So, it is really cool to be able to look to the success of it as a landmark in my career.

And I think that it’s a really great venture and one that I think goes to the salient skillset of being a legal in-house counsel in this space and that relationship management. It was an incredibly complex...
