The outline of China’s Football Reform demonstrates China’s urgent desire to improve its national football capacity, and the “integration of sport and education” is a fundamental project to achieve this desire. In this process, the central and local governments have formed a complete system of policies and standards for youth football development based on these policies and standards. However, there is still room for further deepening in the details.
In the past few years, positive changes have taken place in the area of the development of talent in youth football in China. Integration of Sport and Education is China’s latest institutional design for education and sports, and it is a key guiding principle for the reform and development of Chinese youth football.
