The dispute concerned the validity of a 2022 Contract between PFC Botev and Club Centre de Formation National de Football (CFNF) regarding the Ivorian player Abdoulaye Kinski David Traore. The Panel examined whether the Contract was valid as a transfer agreement, whether it could be upheld as another type of agreement and the financial consequences. The appeal was dismissed and CFNF’s entitlement to the 20% sell-on fee was confirmed.

On 21 February 2020, the Ivorian player Abdoulaye Traore entered into a training contract with CFNF, valid until 30 November 2022. In June 2022, a Contract was drafted by PFC Botev and signed by both parties, providing for the transfer of the Player and a 20% sell-on clause.
