Transforming the Kingdom’s Sports Sector – Key Elements of the New Law


Adopted by Royal Decree of 1 December 2025 and effective from 10 June 2026, the new Saudi Sports Law establishes a comprehensive framework for the governance, commercialization and supervision of sport in the Kingdom, strengthening ministerial oversight, enabling private and foreign investment and reinforcing accountability and enforcement across the sector.
