According to the latest FIFA Global Transfer Report (Ed January 2024), it led all nations in 2023 in players released internationally, with 1,217 outgoing transfers, and trailed only Portugal in incoming transfers, with 922.
Internally, Brazil also displays a deep football system that reaches every region of a vast territory of more than 8.5 million km². As per the numbers published by the Confederação Brasileira de Futebol (Brazilian Football Confederation - CBF), in 2022, the country had 1,276 clubs and 45,284 players registered in its domestic system.
