The Professionalization of Women´s Football

In this article, I would like to point out the importance of creating and developing a strategy to professionalize the women's game.

Why?

 

First, a question that is on some people´s minds: a simple “why?” Why do we need to develop and professionalize women´s football? I can give you some answers.

First, because women are part of the game. Women play football in every country, with different rates of growth and intensity, but in every place, there is at least one girl or woman playing football with great passion.

Second, because it is a matter of diversity. I am not talking about gender equality, I am talking about something that goes beyond: diversity, the real world that we are living in, women and men. In the world that we are living in, women constitute 50% of the population. You cannot make a decision leaving out 50% of the world. Stereotypes are hard to break, but we need to work on...
