On 30 May 2024, the Council of the European Union announced the adoption of a comprehensive set of anti-money laundering (AML) measures,[1] collectively referred to as the “AML Package”, aimed at standardising and enhancing the prevention of money laundering and terrorism-related financing across the EU Member States.
