The LFP Obtains the Delisting of Websites Illegally Broadcasting the Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 Championships

Despite the pronouncement of a first series of blocks at the beginning of the 2024-2025 season, the French Professional Football League (LFP) had noted that some websites illegally broadcasting the Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 championships were still accessible via specific search engines. Noting that the serious and repeated infringements of the LFP’s rights continued, the urgent applications judge of the Paris Judicial Court ordered various online search engine service providers to dereference the identified streaming sites and the domain and subdomain names allowing access to them.

As the exclusive holder of the audiovisual exploitation rights of the professional football championships it organizes (on delegation from the French Football Federation- FFF), the LFP had observed that many websites and IPTV services accessible from France almost systematically broadcast Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 matches of the 2024-2025 season in a free of charge, streaming and live stream.
