The Egyptian Sports Arbitration Center Upholds the Highest Result in Egyptian Football History

On 4 October 2018, the appeal of the Egyptian club Sendbast against the Egyptian FA’s decision was upheld by the Egyptian Sports Arbitration Center (ESAC) and the final result of their win against Tanta Workers in a fourth division game, 21-0, was approved.

Background

On 21 February 2018, during the last week of the fourth division, the match between Sendbast and Tanta Workers ended with an incredible 21-0 victory for Sendbast.

Sendbast, which was ranked third in the table, needed at least a 17-goal win to overtake rivals Mahalet El-Marhoum and reach the playoffs, qualifying with El-Mahalla Youth, ranked top of the league.
