The dismissal of Mr Gazizov (picture), the ex-CEO of FC Spartak Moscow (the Club or Spartak), and further disputes between him and the club have recently caused many discussions in the Russian sports community. This fact is caused by the Club’s status and the fans’ high interest in any news about FC Spartak Moscow in the media and the legal dimension of the dispute at hand.
The dispute between Mr Gazizov and FC Spartak Moscow covers two separate cases:
- the first case is a labor dispute initiated by Mr Gazizov in Ufa (“Labor Dispute”);
- the second case is a corporate dispute between the Shareholder of FC Spartak Moscow as a claimant. At the same time, the Club and Mr Gazizov are the respondents (“Corporate Dispute”). The Corporate Dispute is being considered within Russian arbitration courts.
