To summarize, their only reaction has been to add a global competition (FIFA Club World Cup) and to increase the number of matches played in the UEFA Champions League. How, indeed, to lighten an already insane calendar, if not by asking footballers to play more, while these players and their representatives have been complaining for several years of work overloads?
