Statement by European Leagues concerning Amendments to the International Match Calendar
On 10 September 2021, the European Leagues Board of Directors met in order to address the hypothetical revamping of the FIFA World Cup to turn this competition into a biennial event. The Leagues believe that this change would undoubtedly harm national football competitions.
