Russian Clubs and National Representative Teams Suspended – UEFA Ends its Partnership with Gazprom
On 28 February 2022, it was announced by FIFA and UEFA that Russian clubs and all national representative teams of the Russian Football Union will be suspended from FIFA and UEFA-organized competitions until further notice. The same day, UEFA announced the end of its partnership with Gazprom. This is due to the ongoing military operations conducted by Russian forces in Ukrainian territory.
