On 1 June 2023, the FIFA Dispute Resolution Chamber (DRC) accepted the claim of Uros Deric (Player) against Qingdao Hainiu FC (Club) for breach of contract without just cause.
On 5 June 2023, the DRC decision was notified to the parties ordering the Club to, within 45 days of notification of the decision, pay an amount net to the Player as compensation plus 5% interest p.a. as from 5 April 2023 until the date of effective payment, otherwise the Club shall be banned from registering any new players, either nationally or internationally, up until the due amount is paid. Neither the Player nor the Club requested the grounds of the DRC Decision and, therefore, the DRC Decision became final and binding.
