Panamanian Players’ Union Reacts to Unfortunate Comments regarding National Team Player


On 2 March 2024, the Panamanian Association of Professional Footballers (AFUTPA), which is a FIFPRO member union, issued an official press release requesting a public apology issued by the President of the Panamanian Football Federation (FEPAFUT) after he insulted a women's national team player.

Manuel Arias, President of FEPAPUT, issued a series of comments targeting national representative team player Marta Cox[1] in the context of the elimination of the women’s national team from the Women’s Concacaf Gold Cup.
