In disputes among players, clubs and FIFA member federations are not generally included in the FIFA proceedings. While they should be copied on relevant communications, they do not manage the case file and there may arise instances where discrepancies occur between FIFA and associations' case records.

Facts and Procedure

On 17 June 2021, the FIFA Dispute Resolution Chamber (DRC) issued a decision sentencing Club Sport Emelec de Ecuador (Club or Emelec) to pay the player different amounts. On 8 April 2023, following an appeal filed before CAS by the club, CAS issued a consensual award in which the parties settled their dispute and agreed on a future payment plan.
