LFP Legal Committee Orders PSG to Pay Kylian Mbappé Outstanding Salaries and Bonuses

In the ongoing dispute between Kylian Mbappé and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) concerning unpaid wages and bonuses, the French Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP) Legal Committee determined that there is no clear, unambiguous, or unequivocal evidence to suggest that Kylian Mbappé waived his right to receive contractually stipulated compensation for his free departure at the end of his contract. This decision was made following the negotiations surrounding his return to the Parisian squad after being sidelined in the summer of 2023.

On 21 May 2022, French super-star Kylian Mbappé extended his contract with his former club, PSG, for an additional two sporting seasons, thereby committing to the Parisian club until the conclusion of the 2023-2024 season. Despite having the option to extend for an additional season, Mr. Mbappé chose not to exercise it, intending to become a free agent at the conclusion of his contract.
