Introduction

Undoubtedly, dispute resolution in football or sports in general constitutes one of the most challenging topics to the industry both on international and national levels. An efficient system of dispute resolution is essential to the organization and sustainability of this powerful market. Within the structure of the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), the international sports organization of football, there is a supposedly consolidated system of dispute resolution with the FIFA Football Tribunal and the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).
