Can you briefly introduce yourself?
Swiss by my father and Turkish by my mother, I grew up in Zurich, graduated in business at the local university and found my first job in a company selling hospitality packages for the FIFA 2006 World Cup in Germany. Then, I worked in FIFA in the President’s office as Mr Blatter’s personal assistant. My career changed in 2011 when I joined MP & Silva, first in London and then in Dubai, managing their TV rights portfolio for Asia and selling those rights to Asian channels and media groups. Through those activities, I was in contact with various football associations, notably the eight Arab Gulf Football Associations that wanted to create a regional body grouping them and aimed at better developing the Gulf Cup.
