

This article[1] critically assesses FIFA’s so-called “Interim Regulatory Framework”, which took effect on 1 January 2025, in response to the ECJ’s Diarra ruling. It examines whether the new regulations meet the requirements stipulated in the Diarra ruling and to what extent there is still a need for change.
