FIFA RSTP (Ed January 2027)

On 10 June 2026, FIFA announced that the final post-Diarra version of its Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players (RSTP) will come into force on 1 January 2027. This version comes to light after several months of stakeholder discussions to reach agreement on the text’s ultimate version.

Following the Diarra Ruling of 4 October 2024, FIFA introduced interim measures to the RSTP, as the ruling was a significant shock to the international football ecosystem.
