FIFA Excludes Club León from FIFA Club World Cup after Multi-Club Ownership Decision


On 21 March 2025, FIFA excluded Club León from Mexico from the upcoming 2025 Club World Cup due to its shared ownership with Club de Fútbol Pachuca (CF Pachuca). This action is grounded in FIFA Club World Cup Regulations, which stipulate that no participating club may hold shares or manage another team that has qualified for the same competition.
