The May 2025 edition of the FIFA Disciplinary Code introduces substantial updates aimed at strengthening the fight against racism and discrimination in football, aligned with resolutions from the 74th FIFA Congress. It includes a new framework for handling incidents of racist abuse, empowers key stakeholders to act and enforces stricter penalties. Additionally, the Code introduces modernized provisions concerning insolvency and renames specific roles to reflect enhanced responsibilities. It was published on 28 May 2025 and will enter into force on 1 June 2025, together with its companion Circular Letter.
