The “period of reflection” is a principle rooted in the jurisprudence of the Swiss Federal Tribunal (SFT) and provides that a party seeking to end an employment relationship off the back of a severe unilateral breach only has a short period of time to communicate its decision. As a general rule, this constitutes two to three working days.
