On 22 July 2019, the Football Federation of Kenya (FKF) confirmed former CEO Mr Robert Muthomi’s decision to step aside, while at the same time appointing Head of Communications and Marketing, Mr Barry Otieno, to act in the General Secretary’s capacity.
Former FKF CEO, Mr Robert Muthomi, who is being investigated for allegedly influencing the transfer of a football player from one club in Kenya to another club in Egypt, decided to leave office pending the decision of the FKF Disciplinary Committee.
