Since March 2015, Chinese football has been undergoing a complex process of regulatory development. Here is a snapshot of the policies which have been and will be adopted by the China Football Association towards the achievement of the “Chinese Football Dream”.

Introduction

On 24 April 2019, the president of FIFA Mr. Gianni Infantino and Du Zhaocai - the current head of the China Football Association (CFA) and newly-elected vice president of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) - signed a Memorandum of Understanding covering several issues of the football system in China, such as governance, technical support, development of youth training, refereeing and organization of competitions. This document aims to boost the growth of football in the country.[1]
