What are the specific provisions of national and international law that apply to minor players? What contracts can he sign? What are the legal mechanisms intended to protect him but also to deal with his incapacity in principle to contract?
Likewise, training centers and football academies in Africa are full of young talent, the fruit of their work in training and educating young players. But these centers and academies are exposed to numerous risks in the face of the desires of agents and other third parties who, at loose ends, try to poach young players. How can they protect their investments? What recourse do they have in the event of players being \u201cpoached\u201d by third parties?
Through the analysis of the legal framework applicable to minor players (including the FIFA RSTP), and the sharing of the experiences of actors, the panel will aim to provide the tools protecting both minor players and training centers in Africa.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Etienne RIZK is a sport lawyer. He worked for almost 10 years within the NFA LAW firm, where he notably intervened in transfer operations involving emblematic football players.
After serving as Director of Football at sports marketing agency Total Sports Asia in Malaysia from 2018 to 2021, Etienne co-founded the niche firm NATAF RIZK LEGAL<\/span><\/a><\/strong> in January 2022.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Samba Thiam holds a Doctor\u2019s degree in Sports law from the Aix-Marseille University in France, as well as an international master\u2019s degree in business law and is completing the final step of becoming an attorney at the Paris Bar. Dr. Thiam continues research on topics related to sports law and regularly publishes articles and contributions to academic and encyclopedic publications both in France and internationally.
