The more a new club associates itself with the elements of a bankrupt club, such as using the same colors, logos, and history, the larger the risk that it may be considered the sporting successor of a bankrupt club.

Facts and Procedure

 

On 20 August 2014, the FIFA DRC rendered a decision ordering Parma (old Parma) to pay training compensation to Panathinaikos. This decision became final and binding on 5 March 2015.

On 19 March 2015, the old Parma was declared bankrupt and was subsequently relegated from the Serie A (first division) at the end of the 2014-2015 season.

On 30 June 2015, the old Parma was disaffiliated from FIGC, and all its players were released from their contractual...
