Facts of the Case

Football club A. (Club), whih is affiliated with FIFA, entered into an employment Agreement with B. for a coaching position (Coach). The employment Agreement (Agreement) was due to end either on 31 July 2021 or at the end of the 2020-2021 sporting season. According to Article 5 of the Agreement, provided the following “If any party for whatsoever reason terminate the contract before the end of the contract, the terminating party will pay other party an amount of 204.000 EUR […] NET of any taxes”.
