An important question that no one likes to ask themselves for obvious reasons is what happens when a party dies during a pending case with the FIFA legal bodies?

This situation occurred in a very unique[1] case held before the FIFA Players’ Status Committee (PSC) that confronted a head coach and a football club. The Single Judge of the FIFA PSC rendered its decision on 23 September 2014.[2] In short, as usual the dispute revolved around the acknowledgement of the termination without just cause by the club’s fault, and the consequent request by the coach for financial compensation.
