FIFA Football Stakeholders Committee: Update on the Task Force Transfer System

Perhaps influenced by the position of public bodies such as the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe vis-à-vis football[1], football’s stakeholders are acting. With a view to sustain competitive balance, improve contractual stability and legal certainty, protect minors, promote youth development and strengthen the good functioning and regularity of football competitions, the overall stated objective of the Task Force is to reinforce football’s sporting integrity and raise ethical standards at every level, including for the occupation of intermediaries.

Early into its review of the current transfer system, the FIFA Football Stakeholders Committee (FSC) established the Task Force Transfer System. Stewarded by Victor Montagliani, FIFA Vice President, the FSC is driving the Task Force through a thorough assessment of the system and proposals for its future.
