AFC President Shaikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa Re-Elected 


The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Congress held its 29th Congress on 6 April 2019, where AFC President Shaikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa of Bahrain was re-elected, running unopposed for a second four-year term.

A new-look AFC Executive Committee has taken control for the 2019-2023 period. Shaikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa was re-elected after running unopposed as AFC President on 6 April 2019.  The 53-year-old Bahraini, who was not present at the meeting due to personal matters, was handed a second term at the helm after his rivals, Mr Mohammed Al Romaithi from the UAE and Qatari Saoud Al Mohannadi,...
