Background of the case

The player and the club signed an employment contract valid as from 18 August 2018 until 17 August 2021.

Since the beginning of the contractual relationship, the club repeatedly delayed the payment of the salaries to the player.

On 7 September 2020, the club had more than two outstanding salaries with the player. So, the player sent a default notice to the club requesting that the salaries be paid within 15 days; otherwise, the player would terminate the contract with just cause for outstanding salaries.
